I have a Logitech M500 mouse. This mouse has a mechanical mousewheel (the "ticking" kind), which can also be clicked from the sides to horizontally scroll. The great thing as that this works almost everywhere... In my browser, in Notepad++, basically almost
everywhere as far as the programs go that I use. Except for Excel 2013.
Possibly related, it also doesn't work in regular ol' Explorer file browser windows. Not a bother, because I use Total Commander. But the horizontal scroll thing does work in Internet Explorer 10, which seems odd to me (same company behind Explorer and Internet
Explorer, after all).
When I got the mouse, I did not install any drivers myself. I just connected the mouse and let Windows looks for and install proper drivers completely automatically. And since it works perfectly in the browser and my code editor, I figured the horizontal
scroll function was working properly.
Is there perhaps some kind of thing that I need to do to make Excel recognize a horizontal scoll from the scrollwheel, or have I perhaps stumbled upon a bug?
btw, this is my mouse:
