A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Go to Personalize - Change mouse pointers - SetPoint Settings - Advanced Settings - Uncheck Enable application specific button settings. - Apply. That worked for me.
I believe I mentioned that before - The older SetPoint will work with older mice.
I have both SetPoint 6.67 and GamingSoftware 8.58 installed on my Svr 2008. SetPoint does not recognize the G700 mouse, and GamingSoftware does not allow HZ.
If I plug-in the G7 or v200+ or v300+ mouse or LX5, the SetPoint becomes active, and allows me HZ with that particular mouse in both Excel 2003 and Excel 2010. The problem is that I need to replace buttons in my dying G7 mice every 3 months, and v2,300+ are to small for desktop use and do not have the resolution and option to change it on the fly that the G7 does.
I did not need to change the settings or registry to allow HZ - either I set it earlier, or it's the default.
The annoying part is that G700 is supposed to allow HZ according to the documentation and markings on the mouse.
XP/Svr 2003 recognizes G700 as a basic mouse, but SetPoint does not see it. I believe it was made as a clunky mouse strictly or gaming under Win 8/10 (in which case it should have more buttons and options)
