OneNote for Mac crashes on start

Today, when using OneNote for Mac my MacBook Pro crashed. After rebooting, it told me OneNote had caused the crash. Now, everytime I open OneNote, the app crashed immediately. I've tried re-installing through the App Store and removing caches but it keeps crashing on start.What to do? Most important is there are a lot of unsynced changes I cannot afford to lose...

I was able to fix the crash on startup by following these steps from another thread:

Delete this folder: ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.onenote.mac
Delete this folder: ~/Library/Group\ Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office
Open up “Keychain Access” app on your Mac, and search for “MicrosoftOffice”. If OneNote recognized that you signed in, you will have an entry with a long name. Delete it.
Restart your computer.
Try launching OneNote and signing in again.

I followed these steps and after rebooting my Outlook database was corrupted.

Luckily I hadn't emptied the trash and was able to restore the files, so I could get it working again.

My fix for OneNote was to download it from the Mac App Store rather than use the Office 365 build.

So sad that Onenote didn't work. I really liked the interface. It literally crashed 15 times when i was trying to bring in pdf's and start my first notebook.

Thanks for posting the crash dump. We will investigate.

Me too. Started after the last update (15.29). Everything works fine on IOS devices but on my MacBook Pro running 10.12.1 it quits after it starts to synch. The last episode, partial log attached, is the longest it has lasted in the past week. It seemed to make it almost all the way through an all notebooks sync. Apart from the previously mentioned suggestions, anything new?

If you need the complete log, is there somewhere I can send it?
