Word for iPad Save As PDF

As far as I can tell, there is no way to save a word document (accessed via onedrive) as a PDF from my iPad. I have looked into third party programs to convert onedrive word documents to PDFs, but they mess up our header.

It is important for us to be able to work on word documents on the go, and email out a pdf of the document once complete. When will we be able to save as a PDF?

You're correct that Word for iPad doesn't currently have the ability to save as PDF. Thanks for the feedback on this and the explanation about how it impacts your workflow. I'll take this back to the team for consideration for a future release.

    Yes this is great. It works,  and it works offline which is important. Strange though that Microsoft would not (after 2 years!!) simply add a Save as pdf!

    Well it seems it may not be related to subscription then. Perhaps it is related to the iPad Pro version. I don't have a Pro so I don't know, but is there a Pro-optimized version of Office? Maybe you could try downloading and running the regular iPad app to see if it has the same problem.

    Very strange this problem. It works well for me on iPhone and iPad.

    Just to check and see if you have exactly the same issue, you tap the Share icon and you only see "Document" as a choice? See the photo I uploaded a few posts back.

    Right about now would be good for someone at Microsoft to chime in.

    I am having the same problem. I have an iPad Pro and downloaded the word app. I am signed in with my microsoft account, but I still can't save or send a .doc as a .pdf

    I even have a microsoft 365 account, but not sure if that matters.

    Really need this feature to be able to save .doc as .pdf for my work.
