Word for iPad Save As PDF

As far as I can tell, there is no way to save a word document (accessed via onedrive) as a PDF from my iPad. I have looked into third party programs to convert onedrive word documents to PDFs, but they mess up our header.

It is important for us to be able to work on word documents on the go, and email out a pdf of the document once complete. When will we be able to save as a PDF?

You're correct that Word for iPad doesn't currently have the ability to save as PDF. Thanks for the feedback on this and the explanation about how it impacts your workflow. I'll take this back to the team for consideration for a future release.

    Here is a simple work-around to convert any Word document into a perfectly rendered PDF without having to email it to yourself (so it works offline).  

    1. Open a document and press the share button in Word (person with plus sign on the right) 
    2. Select Send Attachment, PDF, Send a Copy 
    3. Select Notes, and attach the converted PDF to a new note 
    4. Open Notes app and open the newly created note 
    5. Tap on the PDF inside the note (for the quick preview) mode 
    6. Press on the share sheet button, which now allows you to open the PDF in any app (e.g., GoodReader). You are ready to use the PDF!
    7. Delete the new note from Notes to save space. 

    This work-around does not rely on an internet connection. If Microsoft implemented a simple "Export as PDF to another app" function, it would very much look like steps 1 through 3, but selecting the app of your choice instead of Notes.

    Here we are almost February 2016 and still no save as a pdf - what is Microsoft thinking? This is a basic function. Very frustrating.

    I am on an iPad pro with a 365 subscription
