Android OneNote and Stylus input

BLUF: OneNote for Android NEEDS support for stylus input for drawing and annotating!

Let me first say that on my IBM X200 with digitizer that OneNote is my most used application. I absolutely love the ability to make rough design sketches then annotate them with information. (Parts lists, notes etc) My favorite feature though is the ability of OneNote to actually improve upon the simplicity of pen and paper. You have the freedom to use it as a simple notepad. But where it excels is with the ability to move and resize drawing and text elements. All though college I used it to take notes in class and being able to move a diagram around was a huge benefit.

Android needs the pen input functinality. I can't stress this enough. I'm not talking about handwriting recognition for text input. I'm talking about being able to use the application like a notepad. Initially I bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 to use as my "idea pad". With all of the capability that the table has, the software available for the built in digitizer is abysmal. It does everything well except be a notepad. It's actually pretty horrifying how much trouble to have to go through to even try to use it that way. It was so poor at being a notepad that I returned it. The same is almost true of the Samsung Galaxy Note II I have been using as my phone. 

I have found an application published by Asus called Supernote that does a decent job at combining a notepad and drawing application. If the handwrighting recognition  feature were enabled it could give OneNote a run for it's money.  OneNote still has the advantage with the moving text and graphics around. If it could access the clipboard for the S-pen that would be great too...

The question is, with more and more devices being sold with digitizers and stylus', when is OneNote going to support their input? (Oh, and being able to ignore finger input while the pen in is use is an important aspect of that.)

    Yes to stylus input please!

    I use a Surface Pro and love OneNote, but I have a Galaxy Note 3 as my mobile device and would love to be able to do the same on that as I do on the Surface.

    Please implement this Microsoft!

    Ms does look here for feedback especially since they are releasing office for all platforms.

    That said, I am sure now one would bother looking up a thread that has so many replies and take feedback.

    Start a discussion if you want with the suggestions.

    MS has to be the stupidest company in the world.  Sorry for the vent but why bother even making OneNote for Android and iOS if you can't take handwritten notes on it?  I don't need yet another computer to carry around - I need to write notes on my existing tablet when I am out of the office.  Very simple.

    Exacerbating the issue is Surface alternatives:   Surface RT comes with all the MS appllications but NO PEN.  And the Surface Pro comes with a pen but NO APPLICATIONS.  What are these people thinking?

    Not to mention the anti-customer Windows 8 debacle and having the fourth leading internet browser. Really? MS could still rule the world if they weren't so idiotic about things.  Instead, they have squandered their dominance and haven't made their customers any more productive at all which is the point of all this.  In fact, MS provides the opposite since we are all still wasting time trying to figure out basic things in Office 13 and Windows 8.

    I could not agree more! We need S-pen support! Evernote have it now, but it is rubish compared to OneNote.

    I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and a Adonit Jot Pro stylus to take notes when I'm with clients and I can't for the life of me find a proper solution. Currently I'm stuck with Papyrus which is about closest to what I want, but the problem with that is that I can only view notes with my tablet. Evernote would work, but I hate the interface.

    Onenote would be absolutely perfect for this because all my files are in Onedrive and I can view them with all my devices. Stylus support would be the perfect addition.

    Have you tried Lecture Notes from the Play Store?

    I'm removing One Note fom my Note 8. It doesn't do anything I need better than the stock apps. Awesome note is great, except it lacks S Pen functionality too.

    Hi,

    I would like to urge you to add stylus support to the onenote app for mobile phones. I  understand that you are sceptical to add the support to android since it is a competitor, however, microsoft does not have a phone with digitizer support on the market.

    Introduce a windows notephone or add inksupport to SG note 3!
