Hello,
Word, Excel and Powerpoint 2013 offer the new "Start Page" when launching the program. When clicking on a supplied template to open it, the process fails and gives the error message - "Something went wrong while downloading your template". We had the same issue with online templates in Office 2010. Has anyone had this same issue and is there a fix for it? We use Sophos Endpoint Security for anti-virus. Thanks.

If you try downloading the template manually from http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/?CTT=97, does that work?

Yes, I can download templates from the address that you posted.
We have resolved the issue now, thanks for your help.
I would like a real fix for this, as that work around isn't what I consider a fix. Also it seems you have to have an office 365 account to even access that which we are trying to avoid.

I saw another post that the user had to repair their Office 2013 install. Control Panel > Programs and Features > Microsoft Office ... 2013 > Change > Repair.
That worked for me.
I've updated Word (Office 365) and repaired it - still cannot get templates to download on Windows 7 64 bit machine.
This is ridiculous - Microsoft should have this fixed in the time span noted in this thread!
