Hello,
Word, Excel and Powerpoint 2013 offer the new "Start Page" when launching the program. When clicking on a supplied template to open it, the process fails and gives the error message - "Something went wrong while downloading your template". We had the same issue with online templates in Office 2010. Has anyone had this same issue and is there a fix for it? We use Sophos Endpoint Security for anti-virus. Thanks.

If you try downloading the template manually from http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/?CTT=97, does that work?

I have the same issue where the template is not listed online but is listed in the program. The template is called Employee Training Tracker.
Used the link to download templates manually but I need to log on using a Microsoft account. I am using Office 2013 but get the same problem when I click on a new template in Office 2010 (doesn't matter which application) and it goes to Office.com. Not using Office 365 which I believe would need you to use with a Microsoft account.
If I click on the "Switch account" in the upper right corner and log in with a Microsoft account. I get a little farther as I can see the content of the template but I still can't download the templates.
If I access the template manually then it opens an online version of the application needed for that template and then it is saved in my one drive. Takes a lot more work for me to save it locally so I can access it as needed without relying on the internet by downloading it. What a pain Microsoft. Would like to be able to have the templates available to me and highly accessible like they used to be or better yet, include them in the software ... remember that?
