Open the Publisher application and go to File, Click Accounts, on the right side click Change Product Key.

    How to change license key on Office 2013 for Home & Business

    (Professional has the GUI option from Add/Remove Programs - Change)

    After figuring this out myself I found the solution also on a spiceworks thread: http://community.spiceworks.com/how\_to/show/48973-remove-and-re-add-license-key-for-office-2013-on-office-365

    Basically:

    1. Open cmd or powershell with administrative priviledges (not sure if you really need Run As Administrator).

    If you installed the 64-bit version of Office 2013, move to the following folder: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15

    If you installed the 32-bit version of Office 2013, move to the following folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15

    1. Run csscript ospp.vbs /dstatus
    2. Copy from the output Last 5 characters of installed product key.
    3. Run cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:LAST5DIGITS (the digits that you've copied the previous step).
    4. Start any Office app and the dialog box to input a product key pops up.
    5. Do the activation steps.

    Amen! As I skimmed through the 5 pages of responses, I was getting more and more angry at the response(s) I read from him.

    I assume the "V" represents "valuable", and you sir, are not valuable.

    @ Every frustrated reader seeking an answer to this common question:

    Let me offer a possible workaround:

    Attempt activation!  If the key is in use, or already registered, I belive it should bring up a screen that offers the option to Change the key.

    I also believe that the "Change Key" option only appears after the product has been activated.

    I will be testing this today and will try to post the results that follow.

    I have read this link and to change the product key in office 2013.

    Goto Control Panel -> Programs ->Programs and Features

    Click on Microsoft office 2013 click change

    do a online repair. Once this is finished it will go through the installation again and give you the option to add the product key in again. You can add the new product key and finish the installation as you did the first time you installed office 2013. It also keeps the settings that you had already input into the applications.
