Problem with copy & paste in Excel 2010

I am running Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I am having a problem with the cut and paste command. This has worked OK for the few months I have been using the program, but the paste options have suddenly stopped working properly.  When I click on paste special, the only options shown are unicode text or text, with no explanation. When I copy and paste formulas, e. g. autosum,  it is not applying them properly to the selected cells, or it is just pasting the values of the copied cells. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office Home and Business 2010, but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Skype has released an updated version of the Click to Call browser add-on that should be free of the problem mentioned above.

If you want it, go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/ and click Download Now.

    Following other comments about Skype, I realised I had installed Skype Click to Call last week (I had already been using basic Skype for about a month)

    I have just uninstalled Click to Call and Excel and Word now seem to have their copy and paste functions restored to normal, even when I'm using the browser.

    I haven't tried Skype again yet, but let's hope this has found the cause of the problem.

    Hi Folks!

    I am experiencing the same problem.

    Internet Explorer 9

    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit SP1

    Office Standard 2010 SP1 Version 14.0.6112.5000

    When I close IE9, the paste options in Excel or Word go back to normal.  But what I find interesting is that when I copy, using Cntl + C, if I hold those keys, in Excel, you can watch the border around the copied cell toggle between solid and dashed.  I simply hold and let go until I land on the dashed border and my paste options are back!???  I noticed tapping Cntl + C sometimes works as well.  Just land on the dashed border.

    Usually it is fairly easy, 1 to 3 tries, to get the options back.

    Still not sure what is going on, but it is another option to closing IE9.
