Problem with copy & paste in Excel 2010

I am running Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I am having a problem with the cut and paste command. This has worked OK for the few months I have been using the program, but the paste options have suddenly stopped working properly.  When I click on paste special, the only options shown are unicode text or text, with no explanation. When I copy and paste formulas, e. g. autosum,  it is not applying them properly to the selected cells, or it is just pasting the values of the copied cells. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office Home and Business 2010, but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Skype has released an updated version of the Click to Call browser add-on that should be free of the problem mentioned above.

If you want it, go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/ and click Download Now.

    I'm having the same problem with cut and paste in Excel 2010 (Windows XP).

    This answer doesn't make sense.  The question and problem are about Excel.  Where did Skype come in?

    Anyway, I've removed Click to Call and I still have problems.

    I've opened Excel in Safe mode and I still have problems.

    Can someone help me???

    Your solution didnt work at me.

    Uninstalling the Click to Call works to me.

    Skype should launch a new update on their Click to Call.

    I was having the same problem (Windows 7-64bit, Office / Excel 2010, IE 9).  I uninstalled the Skype Click to Call and all functionality returned. (I've never even used Skype.  It came "pre-installed" on my laptop.) Thanks for an answer that fixed a problem that has been driving me crazy!

    I have had the same problem in Excel and Word, and using Ctl+C for copy, if the selected are had dotted lines around then all copy functions worked, if it was just a solid line, then just a simple paste was available, not the paste special. Occassionally, holding down these keys to flush out the cache also worked, but that also caused the program to close. My system is W7 Enterprise 32 bit, with IE9 and Google Chrome, Office 2010.

    Uninstalling Skype Click to Call seems to have solved the problem.

    Once I removed my old Click-to-Call, and installed my updated version, my problems disappeared. So if you like the functionality, just get the updated version installed.
