Problem with copy & paste in Excel 2010

I am running Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I am having a problem with the cut and paste command. This has worked OK for the few months I have been using the program, but the paste options have suddenly stopped working properly.  When I click on paste special, the only options shown are unicode text or text, with no explanation. When I copy and paste formulas, e. g. autosum,  it is not applying them properly to the selected cells, or it is just pasting the values of the copied cells. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office Home and Business 2010, but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Skype has released an updated version of the Click to Call browser add-on that should be free of the problem mentioned above.

If you want it, go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/ and click Download Now.

    I also uninstalled Skype Click to Call and it seems to have resolved the issue.

    I am using:

    • Windows 7 32-bit Ultimate
    • Office 2010 Professional
    • Firefox 11.0
    • Skype 5.8.0.158 with Skype Click to Call

    When I copied, the usual dancing ants are missing and I was unable to paste formatting.

    After I disabled Skype Click to Call, the problem disappeared.

    I hope this helps others.

    You're the man!  I uninstalled Skype Click to Call and Excel works perfectly now.  (I don't use Word much so don't know if I had a problem there.)  Interesting thing when I went to uninstall Skype Click to Call, I also had a separate Skype 5.5 program.  I left this program on my computer, only eliminated Bad Skype.  5.5 doesn't interfere with Excel so you can still use Skype.
