Problem with copy & paste in Excel 2010

I am running Excel 2010 on Windows 7. I am having a problem with the cut and paste command. This has worked OK for the few months I have been using the program, but the paste options have suddenly stopped working properly.  When I click on paste special, the only options shown are unicode text or text, with no explanation. When I copy and paste formulas, e. g. autosum,  it is not applying them properly to the selected cells, or it is just pasting the values of the copied cells. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office Home and Business 2010, but the problem is still there. Any ideas?

Skype has released an updated version of the Click to Call browser add-on that should be free of the problem mentioned above.

If you want it, go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/click-to-call/windows/ and click Download Now.

    The problem comes from Click to Call plug in for your browsers. You may not include this plug in while to installing Skype or you just have to uninstall the plug in through control panel - uninstall a program. You may keep the skype application though which is not affecting copy/paste

    Excel 2007 and same problem.  Disabled Skype from Chrome browser and Excel cut & paste restored.  Thanks!

    Many thanks.  What a bizarre error.  I would never have found the solution on my own.

    I have (finally) uninstalled Click to Call and everything works fine.
