why the fonts in word 2013 are blurry?

rendering the fonts in word 2013 is horrible! 

Will Microsoft change it?

This is a similar problem like with Internet Explorer 9 & 10.

What is going on?

IE8 works good, Office 2010 also...

Then?

Check under File>Options>Advanced>Display and check the box for "Use subpixel positioning to smooth fonts on screen" and also try changing the setting for "Disable hardware graphics acceleration"

    This so-called "solution", which has been bandied around by Microsoft shills on various forums, makes absolutely no difference whatsoever.

    No, it DOES NOT. I'm angry they gives us some "solutions" like a stick thrown to a dog, to get rid of him for a while. But we are coming back sooner or later to the same.

    What is funny, this clear-type problem is ONLY in WORD 2013. My Excel 2013 have NO problem at all since it uses proper colored clear-type. So only Word. I have my 2003 installed for writing, just for finishing I use 2013 version. But yes, this is no solution for one who have just one version. Having several versions give a bit of a trouble (2003 vs 2007 transition). 

    I hope with windows 10 this issue WILL be sorted out.

    No its not only In Word2013, for me its also in Outlook 2013.  As this frustrated user has just said,how many years of reporting this nightmare do we have to endure before something is done? 

    Before I read this forum I questioned my eyesight so much, that I went and had my eyes tested, and fell for the recommendation of TWO new pairs of specs, despite there being very little change in the prescription (as I later found out) .  This poorly developed software has just cost me a considerable amount of money. Grrrr
