rendering the fonts in word 2013 is horrible!
Will Microsoft change it?
This is a similar problem like with Internet Explorer 9 & 10.

IE8 works good, Office 2010 also...

Check under File>Options>Advanced>Display and check the box for "Use subpixel positioning to smooth fonts on screen" and also try changing the setting for "Disable hardware graphics acceleration"

I have stuck with 2013 now it is loaded I was tempted to revert back to 2010 but it would have been yet more expense. I find the bluriness of text in Word is a constant irritation and so I find 2013 to be a downgrade, despite many of the other nice little improvements. I have now given up trying fixes and just live with the blur.
I guess this problem is not affecting many other people otherwise it would be seen as a big problem for Microsoft and there would be more interest in trying to find a robust solution rather than downplaying it, "I dont see the blur", providing confident 'this will fix it' tweaks or blaming it on other software, though no doubt many of these work for many people most of the time.

It is happening to many, but many don't realize it is blurry. We have loaded Office 2013 on Windows 8 and Windows 2012 RDS. Same problem.
It is not the video card. It is happening to all machines. Even the icon on the desktop is more sharp and clear. Office 2010 is the solution.
For those that think it is not a problem. Come see it for yourself. We will run Office 2010 and 2013 side to side and you will see that "blurry" text we are talking about.
