I do not understand why they could not make a simple option where the user could have to choose whether he wants his application to be beautiful or a little demanding in resources. I'm not a lover of beauty but it is really
torture for the eyes.
Someone in charge "drank the coolaid", believing that "one size fits all" is a good idea for Windows. But in my experience especially in computing, anyone who believes it is proven to be an iD-10-T.
Downgrading a 20+" desktop to the display quality suitable for a 7" smartphone, yup, that proves me right.
It would have been trivially easy for them to make switching between desktop and 'metro' easy.
It would have been trivially easy for them to make switching between the Ribbon gooey and Menu.
Too bad they didn't, sales of Office and Windows would have been so much better.
Hopefully the new CEO will be smart enough to hit the ground with his hat.
