why the fonts in word 2013 are blurry?

rendering the fonts in word 2013 is horrible! 

Will Microsoft change it?

This is a similar problem like with Internet Explorer 9 & 10.

What is going on?

IE8 works good, Office 2010 also...

Then?

Microsoft 365 and Office | Word | For home | Windows

Check under File>Options>Advanced>Display and check the box for "Use subpixel positioning to smooth fonts on screen" and also try changing the setting for "Disable hardware graphics acceleration"

    The fonts in 2013 are fine on a Samsung 7 Slate running Windows 8 64-bit.

    Can't comment about a laptop running Windows 8, but no issues with one running Windows 7.

    Thank You. I've already downgrade to Office 2010 (from the box) & to IE 8 :)

    I tried to find explanation, but I didn't... Thank You then for your link. BTW Office 2013 is good (if the fonts are not blurry) for people who have big computer screens (and probably for those who have Windows 8 & touch screens).... For my laptop & Win7 using Office2013 does nont make sense.

    They look fine on all of my machines (various types) that are running Word 2013 under both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

    I would think that you might have a Graphics Driver issue.  Check on the manufacturer's website for an updated driver.
