Have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windws 8 and have thereafter installed the Office 2013 trial version on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. The Dragon Naturally Speaking version 12 works with MS Outlook as well as MS Excel however whenever I attempt to open MS Word i get a response Microsoft Word has stopped working: A problem caused te program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Please help me or inform me how long shall it take to provide the solution.

Verify if the ‘Dragon naturally speaking’ (Netspeak) add-in is enabled in Word application?
Try running the Word application as administrator by following the steps below
Right click on Word application and click ‘Run as admin’.
And follow the steps below to enable naturally speaking (add-in) in Word and check if it works fine.
Click on File, Options, Add-ins, and Click on ‘GO’ beside Manage – COM Add-ins and check the add-in option next to Netspeak and click OK

Using Dragon 13 fixes the problem
I would just confirm that there is a problem. I've been using versions of DNS with Word 2007 since about 2010, and there has always been the kind of incompatibility you describe. I have, at times, worked around it by not using the programs simultaneously; I either use the Dragon Pad or email, and then copy to Word. I keep hoping that with new versions of DNS, this problem would be fixed, but I'm at DNS 12.5 now, and with a brand-new computer with Windows 8.1 factory installed, and it's still coming up. With the new computer (and tech support backup) sometimes I have used both together, but the same problem crops up. I see in the above posts that Word 2010 and Word 2013 are no remedy either.
I am having the same problem. The thing is, I enabled the add in, and then Dragon gets completely stuck after a few documents.
If I don't enable the add in, dragon simply doesn't write.
I tried with the Dictation box, without the add in. But after about 30 minutes, Dragon becomes unresponsive again and i have to restart the computer because, after that Word becomes unresponsive (it lets me save the document I was working on though, before it closes).

Did you install the latest version of Dragon Naturally speaking add-in as suggested by ‘Debbie MSFT?
Did you enabled the add-in as I suggested?
If you still find the same issue after enabling the add-in, for better suggestions related to the add-in issue you may have to get in touch with the add-in manufacturer.
