Have upgraded from Windows 7 to Windws 8 and have thereafter installed the Office 2013 trial version on my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. The Dragon Naturally Speaking version 12 works with MS Outlook as well as MS Excel however whenever I attempt to open MS Word i get a response Microsoft Word has stopped working: A problem caused te program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. Please help me or inform me how long shall it take to provide the solution.

I shall try to assist you in related to your Word issue.
Verify if the ‘Dragon naturally speaking’ (Netspeak) add-in is enabled in Word application?
Try running the Word application as administrator by following the steps below
Right click on Word application and click ‘Run as admin’.
And follow the steps below to enable naturally speaking (add-in) in Word and check if it works fine.
Click on File, Options, Add-ins, and Click on ‘GO’ beside Manage – COM Add-ins and check the add-in option next to Netspeak and click OK

Yes, I had Word 2013 64 bit not working also with Dragon. So I uninstalled Office 2013 64 bit and installed the 32 bit version. Dragon 12 is not crashing Word now.
Keep in mind that the 32 bit version is more compatible with add-ins that the 64 bit version in general. On Windows 7 I was running the 32 bit version of Office for that reason. I guess the same still goes for Windows 8 and Office 2013 64 bit.
Will see what the future holds....

Thanks for all the confirmations that Word 2013 64-bit crashes with Dragon Naturally Speaking 12 working under Windows 8.
Can somebody please provide me with a solution such that I am able to use Dragon 12 under Windows 8 to dictate my text into Word 2013.
I am running out of time since I have to decide upon obtaining a license for my trial version of Office 13.
If I am unable to dictate using Dragon 12 into Word 13 - I may have to let go of Office 13.
Can someone please provide me an early response.

I can confirm there is a problem with Word 2013 64-bit and Dragon Naturally Speaking Home in a Windows 8 environment. When both programs are open, WINWORD.exe crashes. The offending module is a Dragon .DLL file (I can't remember its name... dgn_x64.dll or something like that).
