I upgraded to Visio 2013. I am using the standard detailed networking template. After adding a few items, Visio has gotten so slow its almost unusable. WWhen I move icons it takes 3-5 seconds to give me back control. ITS terrible. I have a Thinkpad T510 with a system score of 6.9's across the board and one 4.9, so I highly doubt its that. All other applications scream. I tried disabling hardware accelleration and updating my video driver which did nothing.
Like visio 2013, but sad the performance is so bad...any suggestions?

I have found slowness with Visio 2013, and found that turning off Snap to Shape intersections fixed the issue. (

Tried this, but didn't help.
Agree to this. It's impossible to work in Visio 2013. Very SLOW, especially user stencils
Is it all drawings? Irrespectiveof the number of shapes or types of shape?
Do you have a drawing that is always slow for you that I could try?
I can't send you the drawing because it is confidential. But its simple to duplicate. Open a simple network diagram, add about 10 devices, put some colors on them, and then try to zoom in/out and pan around. You will see what I am talking about-
