I just want a clean, virus free location to download riverpoint writer or somewhere I can purchase a copy of this program.  I'm not sure why this program is so hard to find.  99% of the links I've found online have viruses so I'm still looking for that 1% to download or purchase a clean copy.  I know that there has to be other people that enjoy this program.

There are many add-ins for Word. Adobe Acrobat installs an add-in that allows you to create PDFs from Word. ABBYY FineReader notoriously has an add-in that reliably crashes Word 2013. MathType and DataPrompter are other excellent add-ins for Word. Support for all these add-ins is provided by their publishers, not by Microsoft.

This program is an enhancement tool for MS Word.  That is why folks look for answers under Microsoft.

I was directed to this site because River point is not provided for download with Microsoft Windows 8.  It appears UoP owns the rights to the product or purchased the legal right to provide it to students. The only benefit is that it saves the user 5 minutes or less formatting time.

There are lots of Add-Ins for Word. I supply some myself. They are made by third-parties to make Word do something. They are supported, or not, by those third parties. This forum is a user-to-user support forum where users of MS Word help each other.

What I am saying is that the people providing help here are going to have very limited experience with this Add-In other than perhaps some experience with problems it might cause in running Word. You will get more answers if you can find such a forum devoted to the Riverpoint Writer. From the brief look I had, I suspect it saves far more than 5 minutes when fully used in an academic setting.

    Did you enable macros?

Note, if you can find a help forum for RiverPoint writer, that is where you should be asking these questions. That is not Microsoft Word, which is what this forum is about.

My experience with this program is that I downloaded and installed it. I ran it to make sure it worked. Then I uninstalled it.

I did enable macros but I think it is because it is an older version of windows.  I am trying to install it on my back up computer and if it works out, then install it on my primary.  you know.. "back up everything"!
