Trying to do a mail merge with office 2013.  I've done this for years with other versions of office (2003, 2007, 2010) but it's not working with 2013 for some reason.  I'm following all the steps, but the emails aren't getting sent.  Is there some way that the profile or something is set up wrong so that word isn't sending this properly? I've also tried to send via outlook, but in outlook I can't choose an excel spreadsheet for the list of contacts.

What is wrong with this?  someone plesae help me!  My outlook profiles are all messed up becasue i use icloud to sync the calendar and contacts, but i use pop/stmp (whatever that means) for my email....

I have no interest in mail merge to documents.

No-one suggested otherwise. The test was just to establish that the mailmerge is producing the required output, even if it's not being sent.

I don't profess to understand yet why mailmerge to email in text format works on your system but mail merge in html format doesn't. Until a solution for that is found, you might care to visit http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/ and download one of the ‘ClickYes’ utilities from there. The ‘ClickYes’ utility is a program that sits in the Windows taskbar and programmatically clicks the Outlook's Security Guard ‘Yes’ button for you. You can suspend/resume it by double-clicking its taskbar icon. That will at least allow you to send the mailmerge emails in text format.

    Some other issues to consider:

    1. Do you have an 3rd-party Office addins installed? If so, one of those may be interfering with your mailmerge to email.
    2. Are you running Office in 32-bit mode, or in 64-bit mode?
    3. Have you tried mailmerge to email from a different PC and/or user account?

Answers to those questions might help resolve the matter.

Mail merge in text format works. Mail merge to document works.  Mail merge in html format produces no output.

I have no interest in mail merge to documents.

Mail merge in text format could be marginally acceptable but I have to agree twice per email to send the email.  With hundreds of email addresses in my distribution list this is very time consuming.

Ideally Mail Merge in html format can be fixed. I look forward to a solution.

    Thank you.

Try to merge to a document instead of to email, with the email address field in the mailmerge, and confirm that all the expected data are present in the output document.

Unfortunately. I have repaired the installation. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled office 365.  I still cannot perform a mail merge in html format.  Any other suggestions?  Our Microsoft support helpdesk indicated this problem could not be solved which I find unlikely to be correct.

    Cheers,

Which is what Macropod suggested in his response of November 25, 2015

and was even cited in the last reply before SethEssex posted...
