I having increasing problems with Access 2013 crashing.  Even after compacting and repairing the database it crashes all of the time - now it's crashing whenever I try to do a "save as" or when I try to exit.  It's been unstable since I started using it but it seems to be getting worse, and it happens on multiple machines. Anyone have an idea why it's constantly crashing?

Also wanted to point out that this was never an issue in Access 2010.

    Is *Track name AutoCorrect* unchecked?

    Is *Compact on Close* unchecked?

Compact on Close was already unchecked.

"Track name AutoCorrect" was checked.  I unchecked it, saved, and exited the app.  I then launched the DB and am still experiencing the same behaviour.  Simply changing the size of a subform and change views - from design to form view - causes Access to freeze.  It took just under a minute to start responding.

    Really am getting stumped...

Let's do this, create a new database, uncheck the two things I meantioned above and import everything into it.  Do you still experience freezing?

I created a new accdb (which is the same extension I am currently using) and unchecked the two items you suggested ("Compact on close" and "Track name AutoCorrect") and imported everything (including import specs) into it.

I went into design view of one of my forms and tried editing the "Row Source" property of a combo control and had to wait at least 45 seconds (the application showed "(Not Responding)") before I was able to view the query.
