MS Access 2013 crashes continually on different computers.

Every database I've created started with a Blank Database, then imported data from Excel file that was generated using a PeopleSoft query.  I've imported both into a table and as a direct link to an .xlsx file within the same folder.  Each database I've used has been less than 15 columns and 1,000 rows of data.  So all the data I am working with should not be strenuous enough on my processor to create a "Not Responding" error.

I've also sent my Access file to users that have 2010 on their systems and they never encounter the issue I've ran into.  I'm currently using Access for 4+ hours a day, so the fact that I cannot simply change a view does make this an issue in my books.  At times I find it somewhat comical that Microsoft creates new versions of software that has difficulty talking with other versions of itself.

With your Office 365 subscription you also get the Office 2013 Suite which allows you to build desktop applications.  If you are using Access 2013 then you are using the desktop application.  Only if you selected a web database would you be building one in Access 365.  Now, the fact that is was built for you and you ported it over to your machine also means this is a Desktop database.

And yes, Access 365 is web based only.  The other applications allow you to create local copies.  If there is a way to create a local database with Access 365 I have not found... yet!  Summing up, you have a Desktop database and are using Access 2013.

Access 365 is on the web.  There is no VBA only Data Macros, no Reports.  Are you sure you are creating a web database?  If you are then this takes on a whole new meaning and you are using Layout View not Design View.

Gina you may or may not be aware, I visited this site a few days ago.  The database was built recently for me by a programmer friend on his PC with Access 2007. He has now given up on it. Works on his PC.

I'm confused now, when I downloaded MS Office it said it was Office 365. I'm renting it for 12 months and can install on up to 5 PCs.

In the start menu the all the applications of the Office suite have 2013 after the title.

Same with Access 2013.

I only want to run it as a stand alone application on my PC and Ultrabook.

Yes Gina I'm using Access 365. Sorry, I thought they were the same product, just distributed differently.

I did create a fresh database as you suggested, made sure Track Autoname and Compact on Close were unchecked. then imported all the objects from the other database.
