What happened to Pivot Table view in Access 2013?

I cannot guarantee anything, I do not work for Microsoft.  And, no, I cannot guarantee they won't drop Graphs.  All I can say with the addition of Access Web Apps some things took a hit, Pivot Tables was one of those things.

We are just voicing our thoughts and hoping people in MS who took this decision of dropping Pivot Tables are forced to re-think on it.

Please no one should take comments personally. People make decisions, some turn-out to be good, other you need to make amends. Hopefully, MS will make amends for this catastrophic decision.

This is an incredibly frustrating feature loss.

Microsoft is constantly dropping useful features from its software and not replacing them with anything better. Stuff like this leads me to distrust them. It's the kind of thing that makes me want to give up on them and go somewhere else.

Sorry but no I don't know of any other software that I would put in the same league as Access (and with Pivot tables).

I can't believe this whole thing. The pivot charts and tables in Access were far superior to the excel ones for the function I have been using them for many years. the majority of the databases I have written over the past decade have heavily relied on the pivot table/chart views. I am now writing a little accounts database for my new self employed venture and realise I can't write something as simple as a P&L or balance sheet query that works without dumping it into excel. Who in their right minds thinks that is a workable solution. Why did I bother learning how to manipulate access if you're going to make it so that I have to pretend excel is a database even though it patently isn't? Nor can I display large amounts of manufacturing run time trend data or cpk data as neatly or as efficiently as I used to. Again, I will have dump vast amounts of data out of current access dbs into excel so I can view charts and historical reports I have been used to using regularly and I fear excel will simply fall over. that and it is a nonsense to use two programs when one was previously enough. It is also stupid to have to have dozens of spreadsheets flapping about than having all data and reporting sitting neatly in one spot. I can add my voice to those that have stumbled upon this thread in a vain hope to see where the most useful functions of Access have gone that are utterly exasperated at the frankly flippant responses coming from MS. if we apply the same logic to other programs then you shouldn't be able to put pictures of any kind into Word because it's for writing and there's better software for pictures. Use Paint or Publisher or Powerpoint or ... oh, hang on.

Maybe it's time to see if Apple have caught up yet. Maybe I should just try and forget all of the developing I've taught myself and spend my time considering how fluffy kittens are instead? Let someone else fiddle about with those pesky numbers. In fact it would be easier and just as effective now to go back to paper and pencil and adding up by hand. Just lob a load of labour at it and it'll all be ok. Actually, why stop there, go back to working it all out on blackboards and then wait for someone to carve the answers into a clay slab that can be glazed and fired for future generations to marvel at how wonderful we all are.
