What happened to Pivot Table view in Access 2013?

Maybe I should have been more clear:

* Because a superior version exists in another MSFT tool (Excel) and maintaining both seems wasteful

* Because even maintaining a feature throughout the versions requires manpower which we like to pour into the web features

* Because data from the Customer Experience program tells us few people use it.

There are several other features cut from A2013 that fall in this category. I understand you don't like it, but there is a rationale, and there is a path forward.

Tom, I don't want to rely on Excel.  I have perfectly good systems in Access 2007 that product fantastic pivot charts dynamically and I don't want to change that in any way. 

As another developer put it, the good facility was there, why not keep it.

Ah, but you are creative enough to smoothly export your data to Excel switch to it for pivoting, just like MSFT expects that you will.

Wow.  This is like a bad joke.  Now I can't complete my Business Analytics class project because my version of Access dropped a useful, common database feature.

Honestly, this makes no sense.  Why remove an already-existing feature, whether the creators thought it was important or not?  That's just poor decision-making.  You never throw away what you've already developed unless it's defective or you have a superior replacement.

I agree you have to talk to your instructor for a work around.

I don't agree that learning this function is of no value. Maybe MS will get the message and return the functionality (hey, I heard that big belly laugh!  Well, it could happen ... <grin>  ). And you never know if you will be using 2010 at work.
