Office 2013 Professional offline help - how do I install it

Hi all:

I am using Office Professional 2013 and I need to install offline help.  I've searched the topic and no answers come up.

I travel a lot and the planes and places I go don't have easy access to the Internet.  In other words, online help WILL NOT work for me.

Where is offline help located or are there additional downloads?  I REALLY MISS distribution DVDs and being able to setup Office my way.

    I'd like to invite you to vote in a UserVoice Suggestion I posted here. The Microsoft Team actually read and bring ideas to the roadmap of the product.

    Bring VBA offline help back

    Until Excel 2010, VBA help was offline. Now, Excel 2013 and 2016 opens a browser to display the help topic online. This caused issues, as users that aren't connected to the internet can't use help and the browser layer gives a slower experience. 

    The user should at least choose if he wants to use local offline help or online help.

    Well, unfortunately both topics have been dismissed,  Too bad they were mangled.  Still without doubt, help for both the normal user as well as the Office programmer must be available offline.  Zillions of normal users run into question while working offline anywhere and Office programmers may work in security Scenarios where they are not allowed to go online at all.

    I HOPE MICROSOFT OFFICE TEAM WILL REVISE THEIR DECISION AND NOT ONLY RE-ADD THE HELP FUNCTIONS TO 2016/365 BUT ALSO RETROFIT OFFICE 2013.

    Still sorely missing offline help for both normal Office users as well as VBA programmers.

    You can get offline help for Office VBA at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40326. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent download for the general program help.

    Hi Jay,

    yep, VBA help for Office 2013 can be downloaded but do you know of a way to integrate the .chm?  Feels like at the used car dealership "This car has radio for sure.  I bought a boombox and put it in the trunk myself."  Not quite what people expect, isn't?

    So I do expect a professional solution by Microsoft.  But I would also be grateful for hints how to sort of attach or integrate the .chm files to the VBE.

    As far as I know, the VBE has been hard-coded to launch online help from the F1 key. I don't know whether there's any way to redirect the call to the offline .chm -- maybe someone with more knowledge can provide that. For myself, I just keep a shortcut to the offline help on my desktop, and I copy/paste search terms from the VBE to the help's search box. It's clunky, but I don't have to do it very often.

    Nothing yet, but I am still on the look-out for it.

    Its nowid September 2016. Help did work on my machjne until a bug in Windows 10 needed a re install.  Now there is no help at all. I paid for a product with help

     Removing or disabling it is fraudulent

     Any lawyers out there able to take on Microsoft?
