Office 2013 Professional offline help - how do I install it

Hi all:

I am using Office Professional 2013 and I need to install offline help.  I've searched the topic and no answers come up.

I travel a lot and the planes and places I go don't have easy access to the Internet.  In other words, online help WILL NOT work for me.

Where is offline help located or are there additional downloads?  I REALLY MISS distribution DVDs and being able to setup Office my way.

    While useful, that is the vba help, not the Word help.

    I am amazed that people think VBA help is the same as the original offline Office help. 

    This why why tech support is sometimes lacking when we are looking for answers.  It seems the question wasn't read carefully enough to understand what the original poster/requester was asking.

    Unfortunately, this is a fail for my beloved Microsoft.  The whole cloud/online thing is great if you have continuous access or can afford (or your company pays for it).  However, not everyone is 'continuously connected' for a variety of reasons - security, location, cost, etc.

    I am considering as part of the approved software list for my next company to place OpenOffice on the list.  In order to use office, they will need a dispensation from the CEO. Not an easy decision, but something I'm considering.

    Please provide offline help - can't be that difficult.

    That was my case, besides that, I'm poor on my english, sorry.

    Completely agree.

    Hi All,

    The Office Help is now online.

    Office 2013 installed by means of Click-to-Run will have no ability for Offline Help files, as these files have been removed to reduce the setup image for download and online installation.

    Hope this information is helpful.

    I just bought a new laptop and decided to get Office 2013 with it. I have no internet access at home, and was previously using Office 2003. I have just discovered that there is no offline help in Office 2013.

    My new laptop has 16 GB memory and 1 Terabyte hard drive. It is insanity in these times to remove offline help files from a product that will be used frequently offline.

    Your information and complete disregard for long-time well-paying customers is absolutely unhelpful, and insulting.

    The nine Office 2013 Offline VBA help files used a total of 66.7 MB of HDD space.  The Microsoft Office folder is 1.73 GB.   "these files (66.7 MB) have been removed to reduce the setup image for download and online installation (1.73 GB)"  A savings of 3.62% seems trivial.

    Without Internet earlier there was no help.  Offline help for Office 2016 is completely non-existant.

    I'd like to invite you to vote in a UserVoice Suggestion I posted here. The Microsoft Team actually read and bring ideas to the roadmap of the product.

    Bring VBA offline help back

    Until Excel 2010, VBA help was offline. Now, Excel 2013 and 2016 opens a browser to display the help topic online. This caused issues, as users that aren't connected to the internet can't use help and the browser layer gives a slower experience. 

    The user should at least choose if he wants to use local offline help or online help.
