Office 2013 Professional offline help - how do I install it

Hi all:

I am using Office Professional 2013 and I need to install offline help.  I've searched the topic and no answers come up.

I travel a lot and the planes and places I go don't have easy access to the Internet.  In other words, online help WILL NOT work for me.

Where is offline help located or are there additional downloads?  I REALLY MISS distribution DVDs and being able to setup Office my way.

    For Office 2013 the local help is useless - it explains what a button on the ribbon bar does.  It does not provide detailed help as it did in Office 2007 and Office 2010.

    How can Microsoft not see this???!!! Have they done absolutely no usability testing with human beings??? This is the WORST USER EXPERIENCE I've ever had with software. Yes, worse than Windows 8!!! And I'm a MCAS! Dozens of new features and changes to the interface and not a word of explanation in the Help content.

    Microsoft may have found a way to foil software pirates with this new approach, but they have thrown out the baby with the bathwater. Loyalty only goes so far.

    I just ran into this same issue. So far office 2013 is my least favorite of all the office suites... I find the UI terrible as well.

    Have the same issue.  System is not allowed to connect to the internet for security reasons, yet MS seems to think their produce would never be used without the internet.  Local help is nothing but a description of ribbon buttons.

    Thanks for the reply.  Unfortuately, what I need is all the help CONTENT that used to be included in Office 2007 or 2010 that was locally accessible.  When installed from a DVD, you could pick how much content you wanted.

    For Office 2013 the local help is useless - it explains what a button on the ribbon bar does.  It does not provide detailed help as it did in Office 2007 and Office 2010.

    Is there an option or a way to download detailed help locally to my hardrive?  If not, we may have to stay on Office 2007 and 2010.

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting the question in Microsoft Community.

    As per the description provided, you are unable to use Help feature in Office 2013 as there is no internet access at all times. Let me help you in changing the Help options.

    Let us open the help window by clicking the Question symbol in any of the Office 2013 applications. Click the drop down for Help in the application and choose  the option Help from your computer.
