Microsoft Office 2013 Has Stopped Working

Just installed Office 2013 Professional Plus. Everytime i try and run one of the apps like word, excel, outlook, and so on it just pops up and saying it has stopped working. It then says it searchs for a solution online which doesn't ever do anything there either. This happens with all the componenets of Office. After it erroring out a couple of times i can usually get it to start in safe mode. I have already gone in and disabled the add ins. Have tried uninstalling Office and reinstalling. Did a repair on it. Tried doing the reapair while Norton AntiVirus and Firewall were disabled. Installed all the Office 2013 updates. None of them have fixed the issue. Booted my computer into safe mode with networking and tried running it from there, it didn't give me the error saying it has stopped just that it can't be run in safe mode. I'm running Win 7 Pro 64 Bit.

I solved my issue last weekend. Turned out to be one of the add-ins, ABBYY Finereader. Not sure where that one came from, but I disabled it for Outlook and Excel, and everything is working fine now.

Did you try to open excel or word in safe mode? If that works then it might be an add-in that is causing the problem. If it still does not boot in safe mode, try using the instructions I wrote in an early post in this discussion to "disable hardware acceleration". Are you on a laptop or a desktop? What OS are you on? 7 or 8?

Went through the same trouble. Lastly, I found add-in installed from my epson printer called Abbeyfine reader. That´s the problem: uninstalled it, got rid of it, and all my Office programs came back to life.

Yep...I had the same issue. Uninstalled ABBYY Finereader and all is ok.

I'm pretty sure Finereader got installed when I installed a new Epson WF-3520 printer.
