How do you want to activate your software?

Hi David,

In case you haven't already found the solution right click on Excel 2013 (or any other Office 2013 application) and select 'Run as Administrator' then follow the steps to activate online

Regards

Mark

    Hey JeffBro & others -

Out of curiosity, did you have any other software installed before installing Office?  Antivirus software / system tools?  Was your machine clean, or existing for a while?

I'm wondering if these things have any correlation with the error.

Ah Duh. Dude, you are awesome. Why didn't I think of that. "Run as administrator" seems to be the new "control, alt, delete".

I realize this is somewhat old. But i also had difficulty with the right click menu.

For the shortcuts office 2013 gives you, you cannot right-click to "run as administrator".

You must hold down shift and then right click.

Option2:  is to navigate through the 2013 Office directory.

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\winword.exe (or other office program)

Option 3: would be searching for winword.exe in your computer.

Once you have located that file, you can right click it and you will find the "run as admin" option

    Hope this helps someone.
