I switched to run as an administrator but now I no longer see the prompt to activate the software.

Nothing works. No administrator function works. No right clicking works. Stuck.

I am having the same problem. Cannot activate. Error message says cannot connect to network "right now."

Thanks Victor. Based on what I read elsewhere I used CTRL-SHIFT-Right Click, which did then show the "run as administrator" option. Once I had done that, the registration process worked perfectly. This seems like a very basic flaw in a mature product like Office. John

Hi David,

In case you haven't already found the solution right click on Excel 2013 (or any other Office 2013 application) and select 'Run as Administrator' then follow the steps to activate online
