Hi David,

In case you haven't already found the solution right click on Excel 2013 (or any other Office 2013 application) and select 'Run as Administrator' then follow the steps to activate online

Regards

Mark

I found that it is the UAC that is blocking the activation.

But I prefer to use Mark's method of "Run as Administrator" than turn off UAC.

    Thanks

    Mark,

This worked for me.  Thanks.  I'm glad I Googled it.  I've previously had to do that over the phone activation...keying in all those numbers...grrrrr!  I had to install six new PCs (all with their own copy of MS Home & Office).  I was fed up with the fouth...especially when the routine failed.  I must have missed a number somewhere.  Anyway, thanks again.  The next two PCs should install faster.
