Sounds like you may have a Bluetooth Add-in that is causing the problem.  Click on the File menu, then Options and then on Add-Ins and then click on the Go button alongside Manage Add-ins and if there is a Bluetooth Add-in, disable it.

Try starting Windows in Safe Mode and see if you can then uninstall it.

Disable hardware acceleration (This fixed MY problem!)

    1. Run regedit (Win + R ; "regedit")
    2. Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common
    3. Create a New Key and name it "Graphics"
    4. Select Graphics, right-click on the right panel and create a New DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it DisableHardwareAcceleration.

    5. Enter Value data as 1

Try to run Excel, Word, normally now.

I hope this solve your problem.

    Chau!

How do I get to the File menu if I can't get Word to open without crashing? I tried starting the computer in safe mode, but I can't get Office 2013 to open at all in safe.
