Microsoft Word 2013 has stopped working

Whenever I try to open Word 2013 (safe mode is working fine), it says Word 2013 has stopped working. All other Office 2013 are working correctly.

Sounds like you may have a Bluetooth Add-in that is causing the problem.  Click on the File menu, then Options and then on Add-Ins and then click on the Go button alongside Manage Add-ins and if there is a Bluetooth Add-in, disable it.

    Running Windows 8.1 Pro, Office 3013 Pro and Dual Monitors using a USB to VGA adapter from Startech; please note that Office 2013 will crash on the Splash Screen and will render Office unusable.  This combination works fine with all versions of MS Office and Windows 8 but as soon as you upgrade to v8.1 Office will fail. See the below release notes for the problem with this driver. The new driver is available from Startech.com

    I am not able to open Word 2013. I have a new computer (2 weeks old) lost my Ph.D  grad paper I was composing 6 pages completed. Word shut down. I've tried to open safe mode, but it shuts down before I can click "options". I've been on this for 6 hours tonight. I have a paper due (well it's late now) tomorrow before 10.

    If that does not help, then you might remove all traces of the Office installation by downloading the fixit from the following article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2739501

    saving it to your computer and then running it.

    Then reinstall Office by logging into www.office.com/myaccountwith your registered email address and click Install Office.
