Cannot play video from YouTube through PowerPoint 2013

Just tried to "insert" a video from YouTube using two methods: by pasting the "old embed code" and through the YouTube app. When I try to play the video I receive the following error, "To play the selected item, you must install a later version of the Adobe Flash Player. To download the Adobe Flash Player, go to the Adobe website."

The thing is, I have the latest version of flash installed (11.6.602.180). I am running Windows 8 (64-bit). Does anyone else have this problem? Or is it just me?

We have been hard at work to bring back support for YouTube videos to PowerPoint. We are happy to share that we are now bringing back support for inserting and playing back YouTube videos in PowerPoint 2010 and PowerPoint 2013 with the latest updates.

    Ok, the only way I got it to work was to go back to the old-fashioned Developer Tool.

    Just tried version 3 to version 2 on Win 8 pc and PPT and it's not working. Also tried on a Win 7 PPT 2010 PC and it still did not work... grumble! Any new ideas?

    I just tried on Office 2013 (JKOHIO's option as well as ALL previous suggestions) nothing seems to work, is this a flash issue or an MS office issue? 

    Oddly enough, when I last replied, changing the Embed code from version=3 to version=2 worked.

    Today it is not working.

    I also noticed the YouTube option to add video is back on the menu and that also did not work.
