I can not insert image file into Visio 2013 (INSERT > PICTURES > (any graphic formats .png, .jpg, etc). It gave me message state "Import of image file failed: '[name of the image file]'.

Please help.

Thank you.

Well, I have to say, Microsoft, you really are working hard at going nowhere....

Sumeet Kamath escalated to Vinayak (no last name provided) send to Basu (no last name provided)

no resolution to the issue, business impacting issue, no way to downgrade to Visio 2010 as REQUESTED multiple times on the phone.

One would think that if Microsoft sells a known defective product that they could at least downgrade to Visio 2010 upon request.

so in 2 seconds, the guy on the phone says, click on more shapes, maps and floor plans, click on maps, lick on landmark shapes... if you see pictures, great, if you see square boxes with X's in them...oops, well you have a problem...

and then I get, we don't have a resolution for that problem.

Microsoft, if you've identified it to that point, you must have some clue what is going on... FIX IT.

or back date me to a version that works.

I opened a support ticket on it and I love how in this day and age of the cloud connected computing, that if you open a ticket via telephone, you can't check the status of it online.

and if you click the link they send in an email, it asks you to enter an email address to receive a link...

and then you click that link and you get a oops database error, try again later.

just lovely Microsoft, you need to pull your head out of the 4 pointed contact located ....

It is any and all files, regardless of type or size.
