rblack40,
I think the picture you refer to is in the paragraph headed Data Form (?) and shows a form called Customers, with data from record 47 of 91. For more information on that, have a look at the Excel Help page
Add, edit, find, and delete rows by using a data form - search Help under data form.
The Customers data form itself is auto-created by Excel (after clicking Form in the Quick Access Toolbar) and comprises several different types of controls, including Labels (down the left hand side) such as Customer ID, Company Name etc; Text Boxes (where
the data is entered/viewed/edited); a Scroll Bar; and Buttons e.g. New, Delete, etc. You will probably be more familiar with these type of Data Forms if you use databases such as Access.
If you scroll down the Help page to which you gave a link in your last post, under the heading Summary of ActiveX Controls you'll see next to Text Box and (lower down) Label, an example of the use of Labels and Text Boxes (the word Phones is also in a Label).
You can experiment with creating these from the Developer tab by clicking Insert and then clicking the icon for Label or Text Box under ActiveX controls, and then dragging a rectangle on your sheet which will become the control when you release the mouse.
The controls can then be edited by right clicking them and selecting Properties e.g. for the Label Phones, in the Properties dialogue box type Phones next to Caption, click next to SpecialEffect and select 6 - fmSpecialEffectBump, click next to Font and then
click the small square with ... which opens the font dialogue, and select a suitable font & size, resize the control with the border handles if necessary.
That's just a start ... Even though this is not VBA, books (and other media) on that subject will be a valuable source for learning about controls and forms because they are used so frequently with VBA (as opposed to without).
