How to expand text boundaries in Word 2013?

Hello everyone!,

I was convinced by someone here to install office 2013, so I tried it today. But the first issue i meet is the "text boundaries".

In office 2010 and previous versions. When I open a blank page, I can see the text boundary is around page (reach the margin that I set up manually.)

But in Word 2013, the text boundary is only around the first line. and it expand continuously as I type (line by line).

So, what I can do to make the default boundary display like in previous Office versions?

oh yea, I got another problem, LOL,

I am trying to save the picture and upload, but when i click Save as in Paint, Snipping tool.. the app immediately crash LOL :))

Okay, I will add photo later (in case you are not fully understand my expression).

Unfortunately, that is the default view of text boundaries in Word 2013 (and cannot be changed AFAIK), which is one reason I will not be using Word 2013, as I refuse to either deal with that display or try to operate without text boundaries displayed. This is another instance of Word designers not understanding how people in the real world use Word.

    Now please take a look at this photo

    The window to the left is 2013 Word, and to the right is Word 2010.

    The boundary that i mentioned is the option below:

    In 2013 version, it only cover ONE LINE and expanding line by line as I type.

    I would like to change in to the boundary that similar to previous version: In 2010 version, the boundary (dot line ...) cover ALL LINE even in a blank page. It limit the space I can write. Easier to imagine.

    I tried to find out another way, so now I am using "crop mark" instead of "text boundaries". 

    at least it does not make a complicatied view :D

    Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I will assist in trying to resolve the issue.

    Are you referring to the Ruler through which you could customize the margin settings in Word 2010? If yes, you can enable Ruler in new Word by doing the following:

    1. Open Word and click on the View tab.
    2. And check Ruler box which appears right below the Design tab and see if it helps.

    "Crop marks" are okay for the margin corners, but "text boundaries" also show you the outlines of text boxes (even when they are borderless and not selected), cell boundaries of tables (even when gridlines are not displayed), and other useful things.
