Hi Michael,

My problem was solved after restarting/starting SOFTWARE PROTECTION service in windows 8, that service was stopped and its behaviour was Automatic(Delayed Start). So i just start that service and error gone. YOu try this as well.

My surface was having some issues earlier where it would only have a black screen and cursor. Once I got it to restart, I selected the refresh option. That seemed to fix the black screen issue, but now my microsoftofffice apps do not work. When I open word or powerpoint it says "Microsoft can't find your license for this application. An attempt to report was unsuccessful or canceled." It then closes out of the app.

    Any suggestions or ideas?

    Thanks.

Hello, I have been using outlook on this computer since Oct 2013 and today was the first time this message came up.  All my Outlook applications get the same message.

I bought the computer from Staples and they installed all the software so I don't know if they used a disk or downloaded it.  I really need to get this problem fixed because I use Excel, Word, and Outlook 2013 on a daily basis for my freelance business.

should I use the Fix it, and where do I find it?

    Thanks,

    Jesús Valdez
