Hi Michael,

My problem was solved after restarting/starting SOFTWARE PROTECTION service in windows 8, that service was stopped and its behaviour was Automatic(Delayed Start). So i just start that service and error gone. YOu try this as well.

    Hello,

I am upgrading our network to WIN 10. I am having issues getting MS Office 2013 to install the KMS license. The following is the error I get when I first try to run an Office application after the initial install of Office Suite.

MS Office Professional Plus 2013 configuration did not complete successfully.

MS Office cannot find your license for this application. A repair attempt was unsuccessful or was cancelled. MS Office will now exit.

This is definitely a Computer GPO issue (not a user GPO issue), as I have removed all Computer GPO's and the license was installed without issue. I have tried changing numerous computer policies with no luck.

Has anyone been able to fix this with GPO settings? I have tried the fix to start the Software Protection Service but that did not work either.

    Open "Services"

Scroll down and find "Software Protection"

    Start software protection manually.

As post above suggested, you might have to close and reopen the application after manually starting the software protection service.

    So:

    Close Word.

    Open "Services"

Scroll down and find "Software Protection"

    Start software protection manually.

    Reopen Word
