Download the MergeTools – 20120609 Add-in that I created from the following page of my Windows Live SkyDrive:

https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=5aedcb43615e886b#cid=5AEDCB43615E886B&id=5AEDCB43615E886B%21111

and also the Mail Merging with Charts document that is also on that page.  That document explains how you must set up the Excel Data Source and the Mail Merge Main document to be able to execute a merge with a Chart that is unique to each record in the data source.

I got everything set up, but when I go to click the Merge Chart button, I get a runtime error message.  Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Hello,

The pie chart merging tool is great! I have one problem that I'm hoping you can help me on.  Here is the situation. I am creating a statement where I need to merge a pie chart and numbers. The pie chart is working fine while I seem to be losing the formatting on the numbers. For example, the number merges should reflect this format: 10,000, it is merging as 10000. I've checked the formatting in my excel file and it seems to be fine. Can you please help me?

In the cell where you want to insert the chart, press the space bar, then select that space and then insert the bookmark.

The error no document variable is almost certainly caused by problems with the names of some of the fields in the data source.  They must not contain non-alphanumeric chacters such as @#$%E^&*(){}[] etc.; they must not start with a numeral or a space.

If you\your friends are still having problems, if you send me the mail merge main document and the data source, I will investigate the issue.
