Mail Merge with Excel Charts

HI,

I need to execute mail merge with excel charts, there are 100+ records in excel.

Based on certain data field i need to create a pie chart.

Using mail merge i am expected to have different pie chart for each record

Is their any way to create this functionality in office 2010 ???

Download the MergeTools – 20120609 Add-in that I created from the following page of my Windows Live SkyDrive:

and also the Mail Merging with Charts document that is also on that page.  That document explains how you must set up the Excel Data Source and the Mail Merge Main document to be able to execute a merge with a Chart that is unique to each record in the data source.

    I haven't seen that error before.

    If you can send me the mail merge main document and the data source, I will investigate the issue.  Please reference this thread in the covering email message.

    I have gone quite far in creating this merge but when i try complete the merge i get the following error. '-2147... Automation error. Call was rejected by callee'.

    What could be the problem?

    It will work with any chart that you can create in Excel.  The type of chart that you describe can certainly be created in Excel.  However, if you are having a problem do that, send me the files.

    Hi Doug,

    This seems to be what i am looking for, as i am looking to create a line graph to be included in a word document sent to parents of individual students showing a line of their results over some years together with a line of the target results on the line graph. The line of the students will change for each student as this will be based on the results of the record for each student. The line on the graph showing the target results will be the same for every student. 

    Firstly will it work with this add in to create a line graph instead of a pie chart?

    Secondly would it be possible to include the line showing the target results that remains the same for every student?
