Download the MergeTools – 20120609 Add-in that I created from the following page of my Windows Live SkyDrive:

https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=5aedcb43615e886b#cid=5AEDCB43615E886B&id=5AEDCB43615E886B%21111

and also the Mail Merging with Charts document that is also on that page.  That document explains how you must set up the Excel Data Source and the Mail Merge Main document to be able to execute a merge with a Chart that is unique to each record in the data source.

Hello Mail Merge with Excel Charts forum

I have been using the Mail Merge Tools that Doug Robbins has created and I have followed the instructions regarding sending merging chart from excel to word and so far they have been extremely useful, however, I have only managed to get each chart to produce a separate word document. I was wondering if there was a way in which all of the charts from excel could be merged into the same document each with a separate page. In addition to this I was wondering if it is possible to put numerous charts into the same merge. The aim would be to create one document with numerous charts per page which contained several pages of graphs, one page per row in excel, as with the other mail merge functions.

Sorry if that all seems over complicated and thank you Mr. Robbins for creating the tools and the explanation of their use so far they have been fantastic.

    Thanks

While they start with a mail merge main document, most of the facilities in my Merge Tools Add-in do not use mail merge to perform the task and as part of the process, the mergefields in the main document are converted to docvariable fields and the process assigns the respective data values from each record of the data source to variables in the document and updates those fields to display the data.

While the code that performs this task could be modified to handle the If...then...Else situations, those modifications would almost certainly need to be unique for each case.

A better alternative would be to do that manipulation in the data source by using Excel's If...then...Else function.

    Hi Doug-

I have been playing with your tool for a few hours now, and really like what it does.  However, I have run into a roadblock.  My mail merge document has many conditional Mergefields (like this -  {If{MERGEFIELD SomeData} "Show this" ""}  ).  These work fine if I just run the Office mail merge, but as soon as I run chart merge, all of the documents end up with the conditions of the first record.  Other (non-conditional) data fields work great - is there any way to tweak my document so the conditional fields still work?

I am following all of the steps correctly and when I perform a chart merge, nothing happens (chart is not populated and new files are not generated). Several others in this thread had the same problem, and you resolved it for them. The questions is, how do i fix this?
