I need to be able to import read/write Dbase dbf tables - yes they are still around so why has the standard option that was in Access 2010 gone?
I have seen mention of ISAM, which is gobbledegook to me. So please a simple answer - what do I need to install or change and how do I do it?

2014-10-10T15:16:39+00:00 Don't need to tell a judge. I have not broken any laws, and have not been arrested, and no court dates.
Access 2013 uses a newer version of the .dll, MS has provided downgrade rights for many of its software, so once again using a .dll is not illegal. If a company is selling .dll files, that they created, that is different.
MS provided the .dll for use with its programs, so they really don't care what version you use.

MS should wise up. Failure to listen to their Users results in their half hearted attempt to rescue Windows 8 (to be the shortest lived Flagship OS) and the continued failure to breakinto the SMART Phone platform. Those of us working and developing in a workplace environment DO NOT all want Web Enabled Apps. Not at the expensive of more important functionality such as that of .dbf support.
As for those going UMMMMmmm bad Broggy.
Would love to see any judge in the world support MS in this. .dbf support should be considered "common law" by now, in that it has been there so long there is NO reason a user should expect such a bizarre decision to NOT support it (When it does not represent a major resource drain).
MS should support their core users, rather than push us away in an attempt to leech yet another market.

2013 does not support dBase imports. The many posts in this thread show workarounds. I like the one that suggested opening the file in Excel and then saving it as an excel sheet.
