Access 2013 - Dbase (.dbf) Table Import option

I need to be able to import read/write Dbase dbf tables - yes they are still around so why has the standard option that was in Access 2010 gone?

I have seen mention of ISAM, which is gobbledegook to me. So please a simple answer - what do I need to install or change and how do I do it?

    ODBC is not functional option when you have 100s of DBFs that you need to import and pre-process for integration into a large SQL Server data repository.

    Try Excel 2013 - open excel open file and when selecting file format look for "dBase Files".

    As a consultant, I now find myself, more often, guiding projects and consulting clients away from Microsoft products for exactly the reasons starting this thread. I find myself 'deprecating' Microsoft more often as I get disgusted with their mentality that they can corral and drive users into what they want instead of what the customer wants. It never works in the long run Microsoft. Thee are plenty of business model failures out there as examples.
