Here is another way.

1.  In the pages program on your mac, click on File, then Export to followed by Word

2.  On the Word” tab. Click on “Advanced Options" and on the format bar, click on .docx (if using any word version 2007 to present, or .doc if earlier version.

3.  On Save as, give the file a name, and location (desktop or flash drive) and click on export.

You can now take that file to any PC that has Word and open.

    WHY won't posters read the question? The question is not "How can I save Pages documents so someone can read them in a Microsoft environment?" It is "How do I open Mac Pages in a Microsoft environment?" I.e "I only have a Windows machine. someone has sent me a Pages document. How can I read it on my Windows machine?"

    Export the Document as a Word Document using the ".docx" Format.

    I didn't quite make myself clear in my previous Reply.

    You should have Apple Pages on your Mac it usually comes as part of the Operating System (OS).

    Open the Pages Document in Pages. 

    Then look for Export.

    Choose Word Document.  (.docx)

    The extension will switch from "Document (or whatever named).pages" to "Document.docx."

    Don't have a Mac. I think I resolved this by sending it to my iPhone and then saving in a different format.

    I tried that but only the first page is created and it's in a jpg format.
