How do I open Mac Pages in a Microsoft envirement

Here is another way.

1.  In the pages program on your mac, click on File, then Export to followed by Word

2.  On the Word” tab. Click on “Advanced Options" and on the format bar, click on .docx (if using any word version 2007 to present, or .doc if earlier version.

3.  On Save as, give the file a name, and location (desktop or flash drive) and click on export.

You can now take that file to any PC that has Word and open.

    Naming it "docx" won't work either, gives me an error message.

    Its a document I'm trying to print at work because we don't have a home printer. When I emailed the document to my Parents, who have a printer, they said it wouldn't work either - it would print off their smart phones but not off their Mac laptop. Its written through Pages and you'd think a Mac system could print a Mac document!

    On a side note, what printer should I get?

    Instead of renaming the file with a .zip extension, try renaming as .docx, which is just a .zip file in disguise. But really you might get better help posting in the Word for Mac forum, as Mac users are probably more adept at dealing with cross-platform issues.

    Deven,

    Mine is still not opening. When I attempt to open it, it brings me into WinZip and I can't find how to view the document. If I try and export to open in Word instead it gives me that weird computer jargon. There is no pdf version.

    Thoughts?
