Go to the header on the second page, and cut it to the clipboard, leaving that header empty. Then go to the header on the first page (on the Header & Footer Tools tab, click the Previous button), and paste in the header from the clipboard.
A bit more explanation should help to clarify: Each section in a Word document has three headers, the Primary, First Page, and Even Page headers.
- If the First Page and the Odd and Even Page check boxes are cleared, then only the Primary header appears, and it's on all the pages.
- If only the First Page check box is checked, then the First Page header is visible on the first page, and the Primary header appears on all the other pages.
- If only the Odd and Even check box is checked, then the Even Page header appears on even-numbered pages, and the Primary header appears on the odd-numbered pages.
- If both check boxes are checked, it's the same as for the Odd and Even case, except that the First Page header appears on the first page.
You can add text to any or all three of the headers, and it will be saved in the document file, regardless of which ones are made visible. What sometimes trips people up is that you must have at least two pages in the document in order to be able to edit
the Primary header while the Odd and Even check box is checked.
