Word 2010 Prints Blank Pages With No Text.

System:  Dell Optiplex computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit in service for < 2 months with all Microsoft Updates installed (except languages).

Office:  Office Home & Student 2010 Retail.

Problem:  Word documents (newly created and existing previous version) print out blank pages with no text printed on them.  All other programs (Office and non-Office) print properly and with no errors.

                Word Print preview shows the text that should be printed but does not print the text.

                Word Printing to 'Microsoft XPS Document Writer' captures and saves the document with no text .

                Word Printing to 'Send To OneNote' sends a blank page with no text into the OneNote Notebooks.

Resolution attempts:  A repair of Microsoft Office was performed with no success.

                An uninstall and re-install was performed with no success.

                The root user folder was added as a Trusted Location in the Word Trust Center with no success.

                Different fonts and styles were used in multiple documents with no success.

                Multiple websites and forums were reviewed with no resolution to the problem.

I have fixed my problem

I have a trial 2010 Office download from MS web.

I also have as my own an Office 2000 Preminum on my XP OS.

My problem occured on the 2000 and it also occured on the trial 2010. Got the 2010 to see if problem was in 2000 only or not.

I can not find the Option mentioned "Print the data on the Form" Maybe its because I have a Trial 2010.

Also i do not seem to find it on my 2000.

However I did correct my problem.

Start-Control Panel-Printers&faxes-

Right clicked printer  -click properties-

Clicked Advance tab

Removed default Check on "Spool print documents so program finishes printing faster

Checked-"print directly to the printer"

This caused both the Office 2000 a nd the Trial Office 2010 to print.

Now I do not know what the Properties Tabs are on later MS OS's are but for my XP, both 2000

2010 printed after I moved the check to "print directly to the printer.

I hope my correction on my XP OS with Printer helps you and everyone else.

It has been suggested elsewhere that this may be caused by the "Print only the data from a form" option in the Advanced category of the Word Options dialog box.

    I have had this problem for a long time, but it doesn't seem to be consistent as to when it happens.  After reading all of these solutions, none of them have helped me.  However, as I was playing around with what everyone was saying, I noticed that on a new document the "Style" that was used was "Normal".  If I select the text (or do a ctrl-A), change the style to something else, and then "undo" back to "Normal" style, it seems to correct the problem. Once you correct it, then all new text added seems to be okay.

    I first noticed it after I had copied several of these solutions onto a page.  Some of the text showed in the print preview and some did not.  When I started to play with that document, I realized that it has something to do with the "Normal" style.

    I'm not sure if there is a setting somewhere that can be changed for not.

    Hope this helps some of you.

    Hi, Can some one help? I have a word document with picture copied from MS Excel and then pasted in MS Word. When i send it to a printer connected to the network,it prints a 'Blank'page. If i print it as a PDF and then send it to printer,it gets printed normally. I have tried all the suggestions posted by users here on this page.Any one knows whats happening?

    Your last screen shot is unreadable. You need to take a screen shot of just the dialog box and not the entire screen. Better still, just describe the options in question. It would appear that the option you have highlighted is "Print PostScript over text" at File | Options | Advanced: When printing this document.
